She said in an interview that she met the guy at a Christmas party in 2019. She was introduced to him by her agent. Strong said she was feeling anxious at the party, but they ended up having a great night and exchanged numbers the following day.

She said they started exclusively dating in March 8, 2020 on International Women’s Day. They were watching the SheBelieves Cup where the U.S. played against Spain. She posted a photo of the event on her Instagram account that day, where she revealed that the name of her lover was John. The couple made an investment on a home in New York City where they both reside.
