Alamuddin is a well-known human-rights lawyer whose clients include former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and the country of Armenia. In July 2013, the pair met at the actor’s Lake Como residence when a mutual friend dropped by with Amal in tow while en route to Cannes. George’s parents were with him at the time. Interestingly, Amal met her future-in-laws on the same day she met her now-husband.
